CL&D has a great opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Hartland, WI.

The Accounting Specialist will have a primary focus on Accounts Receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, examine, and analyze financial records and transactions in accordance with accounting principles and business procedures.
• Accounts Receivable
  • Work with shipping and customer service departments to complete timely and accurate processing and submittal of customer invoices and credit memos.
  • Work with customers and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Process customer consignment inventory consumption, billing and reconciliation of inventory.
  • Ensure credit approval of customer orders is aligned with company policy and procedure.
  • Collaborate with accounting and sales staff on the collection of delinquent invoices.
  • Analyze and review credit lines for new and existing customers.
• Prepare and post several journal entries and reports for the month end close process.
• Crosstrain to backup Accounts Payable.
• Prepare various scheduled and special reports and participate in special projects relating to the activities of the accounting department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Abilities:

• Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance or minimum two years of comparable experience.
• Experience in Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel
• Experience in ERP systems and comfort utilizing online customer portals.
• Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to work both collaboratively with a team and in an individual environment.
• Able to manage and complete multiple tasks.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure, while maintaining organization and attention to detail
• Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
