CL&D has a great opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Hartland, WI.
The Accounting Specialist will have a primary focus on Accounts Receivable.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, examine, and analyze financial records and transactions in accordance with accounting principles and business procedures.
- Accounts Receivable
- Work with shipping and customer service departments to complete timely and accurate processing and submittal of customer invoices and credit memos.
- Work with customers and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Process credit card payments.
- Process customer consignment inventory consumption, billing and reconciliation of inventory.
- Ensure credit approval of customer orders is aligned with company policy and procedure.
- Collaborate with accounting and sales staff on the collection of delinquent invoices.
- Analyze and review credit lines for new and existing customers.
- Prepare and post several journal entries and reports for the month end close process.
- Crosstrain to backup Accounts Payable.
- Prepare various scheduled and special reports and participate in special projects relating to the activities of the accounting department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Abilities:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance or minimum two years of comparable experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel
- Experience in ERP systems and comfort utilizing online customer portals.
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to work both collaboratively with a team and in an individual environment.
- Able to manage and complete multiple tasks.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure, while maintaining organization and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
