Our Opportunity
The Tim Hortons US business is growing and this is an opportunity to help fuel that growth as the Sr. Analyst, Operations Analytics. This role oversees all analytics into all aspects of the operations of our restaurants to support our Operations team’s initiatives and decisions. This role sits on the Tim Hortons US Business Insights & Analytics team and works closely with peers on the team overseeing Marketing Analytics, Guest Insights, and New Restaurant Development Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze operations performance: Develop deep understanding and insight of Guest Experience metrics and operations metrics, including but not limited to Guest Satisfaction, Speed of Service times, Training completions, Brand audit visits and Restaurant & Franchisee Scorecard scores. This role is responsible for analyzing national performance across all metrics and deep diving into trends, both proactively and reactively.
- Develop dashboards, reports and tools to measure performance: This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining dashboards (primarily Tableau), reports and tools which enable our franchisees and restaurant support teams to effectively analyze their operational performance and derive data driven actions for improving the Guest Experience. Operations metrics are measured, reviewed, and actioned by various stakeholders across the Tims US business such as: Operations, Field team, Finance, and the Leadership Team.
- Support strategy development: This role should use the insights gained from analyzing performance to identify key opportunities, utilizing root cause analysis and problem-solving methodology. As a small team, we have a large opportunity for all team members to support the development of initiatives and strategies that are grounded in strong insights.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams: This role reports to the Sr. Director, Business Insights & Analytics and works closely with stakeholders in the Operations team including the VP, Franchise Operations & Operations Excellence and key stakeholders in Training, Operations Excellence, Technology, Marketing and Digital, sharing insights to develop strategies which may be driven by improved equipment and technology, in-restaurant processes, or updated training content.
- Ensure data quality: This role must ensure that the data we are gathering and reporting on is consistent and accurate and will be a point-of-contact with the data team at RBI to ensure the quality of the inbound data from our various data sources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, Statistics or Marketing
- 3+ years of proven ability in an analytical role such as operations, marketing, or financial analytics
- Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving ability with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in data management and analysis with tools such as SQL and Alteryx and Snowflake environments
- Experience with Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong Excel skills and proficient in Microsoft business tools, including clearly communicating with Powerpoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to tailor communication to all levels of the organization
- Commitment to timelines, accuracy and professionalism
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
