We are currently seeking a Staff System Software Validation Engineer in our Software Quality Engineering team. This requires an experienced professional with a background in software quality assurance and system validation. The ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly, and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. The Role:

• Own end-to-end system validation of vehicle software
• Identify, document, and manage System test & validation requirements at the Vehicle level
• Drive decisions on test strategies with collaboration between quality assurance, validation, development, systems engineering, and product teams
• Create & amend manual/automated test cases to perform System Validation
• Troubleshoot systems/sub-systems/components using lab and measurement equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters as well as tools such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, etc.
• Identify gaps and areas for improvements and drive to a solution
•  Mentor and guide junior team members

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Software System Validation
• 5+ years of Automotive testing experience includes infotainment software validation
• 4+ years of QA/Test Lead experience for a feature or system
• 2+ years of automation experience in automating application testing and/or tool development
• Experience in analyzing the logs to root cause the issue
• Experience with Vector and/or Peak CAN based tools

Preferred:

• Experience with languages like Python, C, C++ is a plus
• Experience task and requirements management tools like JIRA and JAMA

Education:

• BS minimum in an Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar)

 

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.   Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)Base Pay Range (Annual)$156,600—$229,680 USD
