Job Summary:

The Felsen, Poleg-Polsky and Scholl labs in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics are seeking to hire a Research Services Professional (RSP) across any rank of entry, intermediate, or senior professional. This position would join a team focused on understanding the functions of neurons and circuits in the retina and the early visual system. This position offers collaboration across multiple laboratories, combining ex-vivo and in-vivo electrophysiology and two-photon imaging, cellular and circuit modeling, and rodent visual behaviors. In addition to understanding normal function, we are interested in degenerative neurological conditions leading to alterations in visual processing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology

·       Two-photon calcium imaging of cellular populations and synaptic inputs

·       Electroretinogram measurements

·       Equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting

·       Software development to support experiments

·       Biophysical modeling and construction of machine learning-based models

·       Statistical analysis of single-cell and population-level recordings

·       Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders with laboratory and research functions

 

Work Location:

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
