CHPP Shift Supervisor

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced CHPP Shift Supervisor to join Ulan Surface Operations.  Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will provide leadership and direction for the CHPP, train loadout and bypass operation to ensure the safe and efficient processing of coal.

About you

As the CHPP Shift Supervisor you will have experience in coal handling, processing and coal stockpile management.  You will be a self-motivated individual who is keen to deliver initiatives to ensure business objectives are met through your strategic approach to creating and maintaining a safe workplace.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Delivering production plans in accordance with daily and weekly targets

• Leading a team of Operators/Maintainers on Crew and reinforcing company values

• Providing excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

• Compliance with all HSEC and legislative requirements

• Maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of company values

• Driving work management practices through site systems

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Trade qualification in electrical or mechanical (desirable)

• Previous experience in the mining industry

• Supervisory experience

• Experience using process control and maintenance management systems (eg. Citect and SAP)

• Ability to work shift work on a rotational day/night and weekend roster

About Ulan Surface Operations

Ulan Surface Operations is part of the Ulan Complex and supports two highly productive Underground Mines, Ulan West and Ulan Underground.  Ulan Surface Operations coordinates approximately 11 million tonnes of saleable per annum and employs 110 people of the approximate 700 at the Ulan Complex.
