THE JOB:

As the Assistant Head Food Dispatcher, you play a crucial role in supporting the management team and overseeing the food dispatchers. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and timely receipt and delivery of all food products and food processing equipment to the designated kitchen areas.

STARTING RATE: $20.4720 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Assist managers by relaying important information to food dispatchers, ensuring clear and efficient communication.
• Receive and deliver food items or kitchen equipment to designated areas for banquet functions safely and promptly, even under pressure or at rapid speeds.
• Check all orders prior to dispatch to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Supervise food dispatchers, assisting with shift management and facilitating communication between them and the management team.
• Keep and organize banquet event orders meticulously.
• Read and understand interdepartmental transfer requisitions accurately.
• Follow correct inventory control procedures to maintain proper stock levels.
• Communicate effectively and follow the direction of the Manager of Convention Services, Room Chefs, and Chef De Cuisine.
• Preform other job-duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• One (1) year of prior relevant experience.

PREFFERED:

• Previous experience in food dispatch or warehouse work.
• Experience working in a similar resort setting.
