Senior Software Engineer, Data

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in data, you will provide technical leadership and expertise to help build ad verification, analytics, and reporting solutions that deliver on the team’s mission of helping advertisers to understand the quality of the ad data they’re purchasing within the digital media ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, dedicated, has a track record of design and building end-to-end software solutions, keen on keeping up with the latest industry trend, delivers high quality software within project timeline, enjoys working in a collaborative agile environment, can provide support and guidance to junior team members.

What you’ll do:

• Design, build, and integrate solutions for our data platform to enhance our reporting functionality
• Lead the entire software lifecycle, including hands-on development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation
• Partner with the Product team and other stakeholders across the company to understand product requirements, gather business and technical requirements, and research, design data models,  develop solutions, including API development
• Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, exciting and collaborative environment

 Who you are and what you have: 

• BS in Computer Science, or related STEM degree
• 5+ years of experience in data model, relational database, complex SQL
• 3+ years of hands-on programming experience using Python and Apache Spark
• 3+ years data warehouse experience, Databricks preferred
• 3+ years Java Spring/API experience
• Working knowledge of basic cloud architecture, cloud service offering by AWS or GCP
• Experience building high volume, low latency systems
• Experience collaborating with Product and other high level stakeholders across the company to meet business deliverables
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be a team player

• Experience with Java in Apache Spark
• Experience working with Data Build Tool (DBT) and Semantic Modeling
• Experience working with Java microservices 
• Experience with big data and data pipelines
• Experience with performance analysis and tuning
• Experience in AdTech
• Experience with Looker
• Full stack experience across APIs and ETL Pipelines to deliver data to clients.

New York Applicants: The salary range for this position is $100,800- $172,800. Actual pay may vary based on experience or geographic location.
