Shifts Available and Hours: 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday

 

While primarily a Monday thru Friday day shift role, flexibility for off-shift and weekends should be understood as necessary for assignment completion, on occasion.

 

Job Summary: This position provides engineering support for Company by supporting functions utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations by performing the following duties, working well on a team as well as on their own with minimal supervision.

 

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited engineering program, preference towards Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering. 
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in an engineering capacity within a manufacturing environment

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Strong organization and detail management skills, with accountability for project from inception through production launch
  • Previous project management experience
  • Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Basic PLC skill would be a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced skills on MS Office.
  • Able to present in high level management meetings.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Provide alternative solutions, cost estimates, develop scope of work for project, design drawings and project specifications. 
  • Work with Hydro Health, Safety and Environmental team to verify all projects meet regulatory codes and regulations with established PESHA protocol. 
  • Requisition equipment and develop work orders for completion of the project.  Provide instruction for labor (internal or external) to complete projects.
  • Perform a variety of engineering tasks such as analytical problem solving, design calculations, review of proposals from equipment suppliers and contractors, and review and approval of vendor drawings, scheduling and cost control.
  • Communicate schedules and project status within the engineering department, with other departments within the plant and with equipment suppliers and construction contractors.
  • Work with internal and external engineering resources, equipment suppliers and construction contractors to complete assigned projects safely, on time and on budget.
