Medtronic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Software Engineer - Test to join our Affera Mapping and Ablation System team. This role is essential in supporting the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of our advanced medical devices.
The Sr. Software Engineer - Test will be an integral member in the Affera Software Team, working on cutting-edge technology in the electrophysiology field. This role offers a rare chance to be at the forefront of helping develop a groundbreaking technology that can disrupt the industry.
The ideal candidate has experience designing, developing, validation, and maintaining test automation frameworks to test real-time high-performance visualization applications. About the Affera Mapping and Ablation System
The Affera Mapping and Ablation System is an innovative medical technology designed to treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias. The system involves advanced mapping techniques to create detailed images of the heart's electrical activity, helping physicians identify abnormal areas causing arrhythmias. Once identified, the Affera Ablation System delivers targeted energy to disrupt these abnormal signals, restoring normal heart rhythm.
Primary Responsibilities
Craft a flexible and reliable test automation framework tailored to our company and product needs
Investigate, propose, and implement new technologies or processes which improve the reliability and efficiency of automation
Maintain broad understanding of current testing software technologies
Perform workflow analysis, document test results and recommend quality improvements
Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
Work with engineers to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models
Must-Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Medical Product verification, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related with software verification experience
Strong understanding of creating test protocols for verifying software requirements
Test automation expertise in robotics or related industry
