Product Manager – Cloud SW Networking Management and Control

About this opportunity

The DZS Product Manager – Cloud Software Networking Products will be a key contributor supporting the definition of our Xtreme cloud software product portfolio strategy during development of new products, definition of the go to market strategies, and lifecycle management of products already in the market.

This role will work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to deliver significant results. This position is a key interface to cross-functional organizations like engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, compliance, and IT. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Product Portfolio Management process to ensure a disciplined approach to managing resource allocation, tracking progress, and planning for new product development projects that are in process.
• Support the PLM team during market research, disposition of new feature requests, and requirements definition.
• Support the PLM team in the development of training, marketing and sales support materials.
• Collect and interpret market and customer research, conceive innovative products, create a winning product roadmap, and develop market and product requirements.
• Guide the engineering organization through the product development process.
• Guide the Field Operations teams through new product launches and introductions.
• Product Management leadership during strategic customer engagements.

Product Area Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of Cloud Management and Control architecture for networking equipment.
• Experience introducing new software products to Tier 1 Communications Service Providers Globally.
• Experience in Broadband Access and Optical Transport Network Architecture. 
• Working knowledge of OSS and BSS systems.  

Other Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent experiences; Master's degree in Engineering discipline or Business is highly preferable.
• 5-10 years of experience in product management, engineering, or marketing in high technology industries.
• Able see the big picture and while having great command of the details.
• Knowledge of product development and processes.
• Proficient understanding of financial principles.
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
