The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Child Preparation Contract Worker to work in Allegheny County and surrounding areas in our SWAN (Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network) Program. We are seeking a creative, flexible individual who is passionate about helping children prepare for permanency. The candidate must live in the Pittsburgh or surrounding areas.
Applicant must be willing to work within multiple counties, including but not limited to Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, Indiana and Westmoreland. Applicant must be willing to do child preparation and work directly with kids in their homes. Applicant must be able to do a minimum of 3 cases at any one time. Applicant must be willing to attend paid supervision a minimum of one time per month.
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
- Experience working directly with children in a work or internship setting required
- Clinical experience in the mental health field preferred
- Knowledge and work experience within the Pennsylvania child welfare system preferred
- Exceptional writing, organization and communication skills
