Junior/Assistant Project Manager

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Icarus Construction.

Backed by over fifteen-years of construction industry experience on the supervisory and project management level, Lionell D. Thompson, Jr. sought to create a general construction firm with the mission to provide value-added construction services and create successful partnerships with clients.  With this mission, and the intent to pursue both public and private contracts, Mr. Thompson approached several investors and created Icarus Construction Services, LLC. On August 21, 2009 Icarus was formed.

Focusing primarily in the “Public” sector Icarus has continued to increase yearly sales and profitability at a sustainable and controlled rate. This growth has allowed Icarus to undertake larger and more complex projects while maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction and quality control.

The responsibilities and duties of an JPM (Junior Project Manager) or APM (Assistant Project Manager) include:

• Communicating and following up with Icarus management about specific projects status. To include daily reports, progress, and potential problems.
• Assist in generation of invoices.
• Assist in preparing written estimates for clients. Icarus currently uses E4Clicks estimation software.
• Managing the project team, including task delegation and work schedule
• Maintaining project documentation including the creation or review of As-Builts. This will require knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk products to include AutoCAD
• Assisting with the preparation and proofing of project deliverable. This includes review of submittals from subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Supporting the project manager in the coordination of project team meetings.
• Preparing project management reports. This will include daily reports that track progress and resources used.

Requirements

• Experience with AutoCAD
• 1-4 years of experience in project management
