Genesys is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager – Technology to join the team that will support all technology (XaaS/software/hardware/telco) renewals and projects for Genesys. This individual contributor will lead high-complexity sourcing projects and manage supplier relationships while working effectively along with the business leaders and the broader Procurement team. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will provide meaningful commercial leadership in cross-functional project teams while developing and executing creative strategies to ensure work is conducted with rigorous professional standards in full compliance with organizational governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Owns the end-to-end process of managing multiple projects and stakeholders as an individual contributor on a team supporting the technology category with the ability to present (formally and informally) to stakeholders, legal, finance, leadership team, etc.
Participates in fact-based negotiations and implements contracts utilizing approved terms and conditions, while facilitating across multiple subject matter expert teams in the company.
Develops thorough category and vendor management strategies and manages overall vendor performance including acting as an escalation point in the event of non-performance.
Manages stakeholders through an effective stakeholder engagement plan by understanding their needs and aligning business objectives with risk mitigation.
Primary negotiator on initiatives and guides sourcing event (RFx), cost analysis/benchmarking, selection process, negotiation, contract strategy and vendor management.
Creates and delivers a range of reports and presentations relating to, and including, savings tracking, project status, savings forecasts and spend profiles to key stakeholders. Ensure metrics and action plan are in place for continuous improvement.
Influences effectively to ensure business needs consider commercial reality and do not unknowingly compromise value.
Escalates key risks and helps achieve effective resolution.
Accountable for quality and timeliness of critical deliverables and communications to stakeholders and project teams.
Manages sourcing calendar of events to facilitate budget discussions in conjunction with the strategic finance team, IT and stakeholders.
Works within a cross-cultural, multi/country team to collaborate and perform.
Embrace a team mentality. Support the development of other team members (Specialists or Associate Sourcing Managers).

The candidate must be creative and should be prepared to add value to the long-term direction of Strategic Sourcing strategies with a focus on transforming from tactical to strategic. You will be part of the development and implementation of technology category sourcing strategies to meet challenging business targets, including cost reduction, working capital Improvement, productivity improvement, supplier relationship management effectiveness and supply base reduction. The role carries a very high level of autonomy to deliver results within an environment where processes are currently being developed and implemented.
