As the Sr. Business Analyst, Digital Motions, you will support critical business engines for delivering scale customer engagement in our Small and Medium Business (SMB) business. Working deeply across functions you will develop action-oriented insights and analysis, industrial reporting, and analytical models to define and automate business processes, drive sales execution and accountability, and maximize our digital potential. The SMC Analytics team are insatiably curious data professionals who lean into uncertainty, take risks, and learn quickly from our mistakes. We build on each other’s ideas, and contribute our deep understanding of business goals, strategic drivers, success outcomes and behaviors to influence strategy & results.  We seek a creative, analytical and experienced problem-solver who loves big data challenges, excels at story-telling, and partners exceptionally with stakeholders.

 

In this role, you will collaborate with sales leaders, engineers, and capability owners to define business needs, source data and influence our data platform, and render data into deeply insightful BI products. Responsibilities

  • Define & deliver business requirements for operational reporting, objectives and key results, and action-oriented analysis to land sustainable reporting, process, and insights for key digital engines within the Small & Medium (SMB) segment
  • Collaborate with product, program and engineering teams to design & execute BI dashboards and develop robust data models.
  • Drive data analysis and reporting needs for the organization, supporting monthly/quarterly business rhythm, and establish a regular communication of insights and impact to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across the company to ensure consistency, quality, and avoid duplication across BI tools, systems, and data platforms
  • Advocate fiercely for effective processes, seamless change management, agility and speed in our BI development & stakeholder ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with data scientists & engineering to drive deeper insight and explore advanced models to solve business problems.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR equivalent experience

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate passion and skills aligned with business insights and data analysis, and program management skills
  • Advanced experience with MS Fabric, PowerBi, Excel, and data modeling skills and working knowledge of statistical concepts, methods, and approaches
  • Proficient in data-driven storytelling via reports & exec visualizations: ability to frame complex analyses and tell succinct, impactful stories to management
  • Customer-obsessed and inclusive collaborator, brings diverse perspectives together to create successful data products
  • Experience using statistical programming languages (Python, SQL) for data access, wrangling, and stat
