The Sr. Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing all inventory and asset data pertaining to the Remarketing business. This includes verifying service records and regularly coordinating and assessing physical inventory to deliver accurate, data driven insights and provide valuable inventory management improvements.
The Role
- Maintain precise asset records, including both physical and digital documentation.
- Regularly identify and reconcile any inconsistencies with physical inventory counts and system data.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance inventory management and provide recommendations to improve inventory processes.
- Develop and maintain a dashboard or system for real-time inventory tracking.
- Ensure that vehicle locations in our systems accurately reflect their physical placement.
- Collaborate with logistics teams and track logistics records including transportation and storage details and ensure prompt updates to vehicle location information.
- Update and maintain records related to vehicle damage claims.
- Monitor vehicle software versions and coordinate with service departments to ensure timely software updates in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle attributes (e.g., trim levels, features, VINs).
- Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy and completeness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless inventory management.
- Propose process improvements and automation solutions.
- Report on inventory status and stages, including grounding, reconditioning, storage, and sale pending.
- Track service needs, schedule completion, and monitor progress by vehicle for inventory cars.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, business, or other related discipline
- Significant experience with data analytics and advanced inventory management skills
- At least 5 years’ relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 2 years of inventory analysis experience
- Be able to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of inventory management and service analytics
- Proven technical, quantitative, and critical-thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative, and creativity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to management
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results
- Demonstrated effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
