The PEAK team is looking for a Technical Writer to guide our pursuit of crafting unparalleled content. We are seeking someone driven to convey technical concepts in clear, user-friendly documentation. This role involves collaborating with experts across various domains to develop articles, guides, and comprehensive documentation supporting Pure’s products and services. We’re searching for a driven, organized individual ready to challenge the status quo. Your expertise will aid in elevating our solutions and strategy within a growing Customer Experience (CX) organization. This individual contributor role reports to the Performance, Education, and Knowledge (PEAK) team as part of the global CX organization comprising Technical Services, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Pure PEAK. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a knack for translating complex information into clear, intuitive documentation, we encourage you to apply and become a member of a highly successful and growing team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage subject matter experts, product managers, solutions experts, and engineers to gather technical information.
  • Simplify complex technical details for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and maintain various documents including guides, technical specifications, best practices, supportability, process enablement, blogs, and more.
  • Provide expert guidance, with a consultative mindset, to ensure that the needs of the business are met via content delivery.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and usability of content via extensive research, and hands-on labs.
  • Establish templates, style guides, and standards to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Mentor Jr. Technical Writers while establishing high standards for excellence.
  • Review and edit content for adherence to guidelines on grammar, style, and formatting.
  • Provide agile support to end-users for rapid content enhancements.
  • Utilize diverse content authoring tools for document creation including: WYSIWYG Editors, XML Authoring (DITA), and ServiceNow.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work as an integral member of a team.
  • Managing and contributing to a Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) ecosystem:
    • Create structured content and maintain version control 
    • Manage content reuse libraries and components such as maps, topics, and keyrefs.
    • Maintaining and managing content version control.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve DITA-related technical issues, XML Validation errors, and content rendering problems.
    • Provide training to colleagues on DITA best practices, principles and tools.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development professionals to connect the training curriculum with supporting documentation.
  • Apply information design principles to determine the ideal modality for the learner’s context.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and methodologies.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in writing, content creation, or communication.
  • 5+ years experience of technical writing experience
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal
