Job Position:

  • Men’s Basketball Coach/ Associate Athletic Director

General Description: Bryant & Stratton College -Albany is seeking an Associate Athletic Director/Basketball Coach. In addition to Coaching duties, this position will be responsible for supporting the Athletic Director, fundraising, Practice and game facilities, and staffing of on campus athletic facilities.  All sports compete in the USCAA conference (scholarship offering).  This position will report directly to the Athletic Director.

Duties:                 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Recruitment and Coaching of Men’s Basketball Team
  • Organize and execute all aspects of fundraising for all Athletics teams with an overall goal to be set in writing by the Campus Director at the beginning of annual Athletic Season (September thru April).
  • Organize dorm set up, move in, and clean up with RA’s
  • Organize with Academic Department Athletic Orientation
  • Organize Athletic Parent meet and Greets for move in days.
  • Support and assist Athletic Director with but not limited to:
    • Administration of game contracts
    • Scheduling of officials
    • Student athlete grade monitoring/scheduling study halls
    • Trainer assignments
    • Work study assignments for student athletes
  • Manage the on-campus athletic room, which includes staffing, scheduling, and working with coaches on team practices.
  • Oversee the on-campus equipment which includes storage of all athletic equipment.
  • The Associate Athletic Director is expected to become knowledgeable of all United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
  • Work with Athletic Director on securing and preparation of practice and game facilities.
  • Work with Athletic Director to schedule bus/van drivers and staff
  • As representatives of the College, all coaches and student-athletes must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. It is the responsibility of the Associate Athletic Director to supervise staff and student-athletes while traveling, to ensure the safety of staff and student-athletes.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred: Head coaching experience and management
  • First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
  • Fundraising experience is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills required.
  • Must be able to serve as a positive role model for young adults.
  • Familiarity with USCAA rules, regulations and compliance is a plus.
  • Clean driving record is required.

NON-EXEMPT POSITION:  

SALARY: 

$40,000 - $46,000 ($19.23 - $22.11 per hour)
