THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to drive our Sportsbook revenue performance, customer segmentation, risk decision automation, and liability management. In this role you will be responsible for providing in-depth insights, automation, reporting and data analysis across all areas of Sportsbook Risk Management, including betting limits, customer behaviors, and liability management, for retail and online. Using your numerical and technology capabilities you will play a key role in research and communication of results to Risk & Trading teams and senior management.

THE GAME PLAN

- Deliver high-quality quantitative analysis and reporting to aid more accurate risk profiling, customer segmentation, optimum risk strategy and effective risk management decisions
- Improve our understanding of customer behaviors, efficiency of promotions, and effectiveness of risk management practices
- Through idea generation and exploratory analysis, develop new and innovative ways to turn customer behaviors into features for use in risk analysis, segmentation and predictive modeling
- Demonstrate accurate insights using easy to interpret visualizations and clear explanations of results, recommendations, methods, biases and limitations
- Plan and manage project timelines with precision, ensuring detailed accuracy and consistent coordination with key Stakeholders
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to effectively identify areas for improvement, and support their strategic objectives
- Take responsibility to learn the necessary skills and techniques, in order to work with independence, integrity and accuracy
- Assist in the training and development of junior team members
THE STATS
What we’re looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum of 3+ years of previous Analytics Experience
- Expert in SQL and comprehensive experience of manipulating large datasets in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced knowledge of at least one data visualization tool (e.g. Looker, Tableau….)
- Experienced working in statistical or programming software and techniques (e.g. in Python, R, C#...)
- Undergraduate degree in a numerate or technical discipline
- Knowledge of sports is a plus
- Interest or experience in the Sports betting industry is an advantage
