Supervisor Production

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reenforce and practice Hutchinson’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, Operational processes and procedures.
• Direct and coordinate shift personnel to produce company products in a quality, timely, and safe manner.
• Maintain and achieve manufacturing standards, quality controls, and operating procedures.
• Address with the operator any scrap over 5, Escalate to the APU Manager if more than 10 pieces are scraped or if the machine is down for more than 30 minutes.
• Report and assist in the resolution of all manufacturing issues, including facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel problems.
• Ensure effective communication, including shift carryovers.
• Train all employees reporting to the shift to established manufacturing and quality standards in a cost-efficient manner, documenting this training according to Hutchinson’s procedures.
• Reconcile and approve hourly employee timecards in ADP.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles. 
• Lead Continuous improvements Project using lean manufacturing principles
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure employees on the shift are scanning products correctly to avoid inventory variances and component shortages.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing standards, quality controls, and operating procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to train and document training effectively.
• Proficiency in time card reconciliation. ADP Time and Attendance experience preferred.

Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic level math

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
