About the role

Position Title

BSA/AML & Sanctions Data & Modeling Support Analyst

Location

New York, NY 10018

Job Summary

The BSA/AML & Sanctions Data & Modeling Support Analyst serves as the operational engine behind the BSA/AML Data, Systems & Models team. This is a hands-on delivery role for a data professional who is fluent in Python and SQL, comfortable managing complex ETL pipelines, and is the team's go-to resource for data quality, model monitoring, and Actimize UAT execution.

Owns the day-to-day data infrastructure that keeps models running, dashboards current, and offshore work coordinated and on-track. Plays a critical enabling role in OCC MRA remediation efforts, Actimize go-live support, and the scaling of the team's GenAI and automation initiatives.

Responsible to write code, own pipelines, and produce the data outputs that power everything above you.

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Quality & Pipeline Engineering

  • Own BSA/AML data quality remediation: identifying, documenting, and resolving upstream data issues across transaction monitoring, EDD, CRR, and sanctions data feeds.
  • Build and maintain Python and SQL based ETL pipelines that transform raw data into model-ready datasets, monitoring inputs, and compliance reporting extracts.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and quality control logs required for MRM review and OCC examination readiness.
  • Support Enterprise Data Hub integration and BSA/AML data mart build-out — coordinating with IT and data governance teams to resolve data access and quality issues.
  • Construct and maintain reusable, well-documented data processing libraries used by the broader team and offshore resources.

Model Monitoring & Performance Reporting

  • Execute scheduled model monitoring runs for CRR, TM, EDD, and Sanctions models — generating stability reports (PSI, KS, Gini, score distribution), exception flags, and monitoring memos.
  • Maintain model monitoring calendars, documentation repositories, and MRM evidence packages aligned to the model inventory.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards providing compliance leadership and FIU operational teams with real-time visibility into alert volume, model performance, and KPI/KRI trends.
  • Track and report on alert-to-case conversion rates, false positive trends, and investigation cycle times across Actimize and ancillary platforms.

Actimize UAT & Platform Support

  • Lead UAT execution for Actimize FCRM go-live and post-production releases — scripting test cases, documenting results, and escalating defects in coordination with the product team.
  • Maintain Actimize UAT documentation and test evidence packages to the standard required for MRM and OCC review.
  • Support Actimize data feed validation — ensuring transaction, customer, and account data flowing into TM and case management meets quality thresholds.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for offshore team members executing Actimize-related data and UAT tasks.

Offshore Team Coordination

  • Serve as the day-to-day task lead for 2–4 offshore data and model resources — translating Manager and Director priorities into structured work assignments, tracking delivery, and reviewing outputs.
  • Conduct quality review of offshore deliverables (pipeline code, monitoring reports, UAT logs) before they are submitted for Manager or Director sign-off.
  • Maintain sprint-style work tracking (Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent) to give leadership visibility into offshore capacity and delivery status.
  • Escalate blockers, data access issues, and quality concerns to the Manager of Data & Modeling with recommended resolution paths.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent,   . Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or business discipline is preferred; equivalent demonstrated experience will be considered.
  • Minimum experience required: Less than 2 years substantive, hands-on data engineering or analytics experience with applicable skills, ideally in a regulated financial services environment.
