Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Traveling Field Technician to join our team in this full-time role. This position requires extensive travel—up to 75% of the time—across various locations in the U.S., supporting our beekeeping operations and technology deployments. You will be responsible for the on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Beewise’s cutting-edge equipment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys travel, and is passionate about working outdoors in agricultural settings.
Key Responsibilities:
On-site Installation and Setup:
- Travel to field locations nationwide to install and configure Beewise equipment.
- Ensure all installations meet company specifications and quality standards.
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct regular maintenance to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in the field, performing on-site repairs.
- Collaborate with internal technical support teams for complex problem resolution.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance tasks, and repair activities.
- Prepare detailed service visit reports, including findings, actions taken, and recommendations.
Customer and Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with beekeepers, farmers, and internal teams to address field concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Provide feedback on equipment performance and recommend improvements for future deployments.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or agricultural technology is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a field technician or in a similar role; experience in agricultural or outdoor environments is highly advantageous.
- Strong technical aptitude with hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with agricultural technology, beekeeping, or pollination equipment is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively—up to 75% of the time—across the U.S., including overnight and multi-week trips.
- Flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours when needed.
- Comfortable working outdoors in field settings and around bees.

- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and bee environments.
