The University of Texas at Austin is seeking to hire a Project Specialist within the Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) Department. Purpose
Assist Planning, Design and Construction project management teams by providing administrative support for design and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assists with creating, reviewing, routing and filing critical project documents to support project team.
- Assists with maintaining and building positive client and stakeholder relationships through prompt, courteous, and accurate communications. Assists with maintaining up to date internal contact records for project teams, project stakeholders and clients.
- Manages and executes timely and accurate project close out processes by closing work orders, and ensuring project deliverables are received and distributed. Elevates project close out issues to the appropriate channels and teams. Assists accounting and project teams with reconciling project costs.
- Participates in internal and external process improvement initiatives. Communicates and advocates opportunities for project delivery process efficiencies.
- Attends meetings and training sessions relative to position
- Routinely complies and validates project information to provide clients, stakeholders, and leadership up to date visibility into project and program statues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field of relevant experience. Four years of professional experience in administrative, construction, or, customer support. Proficient using Microsoft Office programs, specifically, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
More than four years of professional experience in administrative, construction, or other related industry field. Two years of professional experience with construction projects in a higher education facilities environment on the Owner's side - a minimum of two years of experience providing customer support and administrative services, with a minimum of one year experience related to data analysis. Experience with UT Define software.
Salary Range
$45,000 + depending on qualifications
