In order to replace the former Site Manager, we are recruiting a Site Manager in charge of Manufacturing, Maintenance and Operational Excellence based at Sezanne (France).

Mission

Provide effective hands on supervision of all on site production and engineering practices.

Launch, manage and deliver on time Operational Excellence projects for the optimization of industrial costs. 

Manage long term planning, strategy and design of the plant including CAPEX investment projects

Manage all the day to day activities including EHS, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Logistics, Quality,  Administration, community and employee representatives local relations.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities

• EHS

• Manage effectively of all Environmental and Safety aspects in keeping with the French regulations and the Imerys EHS standards
• Ensure agreed corrective and preventative measures are implemented
• Ensure Maintenance and Manufacturing people, including temporary workers and subcontractors compliancy with EHS regulations and current workplace legislation
• Propose disciplinary actions to the Operations Manager in case of EHS rules transgression

 

• Maintenance
• Supervise the maintenance Manager
• Manage the maintenance budget
• Identify and develop critical skills (skills Matrix and trainings)
• Design and implement maintenance strategy based on reliability and cost management to improve critical lines availability and to optimize maintenance cost for less critical lines
• Standardize best practices and methods coming from Corporate / Calderys experts
• Advise on new equipment, automation of production lines and project management associated: suppliers selection and management including subcontractors
• Implement maintenance cost management
• Develop an improvement process and backlog management : 
  • Increase effectiveness and improve synergy between Production and Maintenance by implementing visual management
  • Develop engineering solutions to reduce repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect plant operations
• Manage subcontractors and ensure their safety and working conditions.
• Identify critical parts and manage stocks
• Manage and improve 5S tool
• Reinforce maintenance productivity through an optimized organization 
• Manage CAPEX from design phase to implementation and commissioning on sustenance and improvements
• Identify (FMECA tool) and ensure the availability of mechanical critical spares (i.e: implement consignment stocks)
• Perform analysis of downtimes and implement KPIs (MTBF / MTTR / Pareto, …)
• Design, implement and manage preventive and predictive Maintenance plan

 

• Manufacturing
• Supervise the Production Manager (Tape Hole Clay and Monolithic Refractories) and the Ready Shape production Manager.
• Identify and develop critical skills on Manufacturing (polyvalency matrix and trainings)
• Standardize Production best practices and methods
• Lead production rituals and meetings including EHS, providing requested information relating to the managed area and contribute to improve at other locations on all matters related to the business
• Manage daily in the factory on safety, production volume, works and expenses from maintenance
• Ensure availability of products according to the Customers requirements
• Communicate with the sales department to optimize existing products and services
• Establish the production plan, based on expected sales of the commercial team 
• Set production goals on quality complaints reduction, safety and environment 
• Reports on a weekly basis to the Site Manager.
