Systems Administrator Intern

Overview

This is a Summer 2025 internship. 

Responsibilities

This intern will help the IT team with the following duties:

• Project planning.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues along with documenting resolutions.
• Assign work orders, follow up on status, and communicate status to users.
• Represent the company in a professional manner and provide excellent Customer Service.

Additional Responsibilites May Include:

• Manage Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade servers including VMware Environment, and physical Windows and Linux servers
• Manage Exchange and Office365 servers and mail flow
• Backup and DR planning and maintenance
• Camera NVR setup and maintenance
• Server software application installs and upgrades

Qualifications

Required

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT or related field
• Excellent problem-solving skills and work well in a team environment
• Positive attitude and highly motivated
• A team player with excellent communication skills
• Customer service oriented

Preferred

• Experience with Cisco networking and phone system.
• Experience with Cisco Call Manager
• Associate degree in computer information systems, networking, or related field of study
• Knowledge of various versions of Microsoft Windows Server OS
• Networking experience
• Experience with VMware
• CompTIA Certifications: A+, Security+, Network+, Linux +, or Server+
• Cisco Certifications
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange preferred
• Experience with Linux (CentOS, Red Hat, Oracle Linux)
