OPPORTUNITY
- QVC is currently recruiting for a position in the Omni-Channel Buying Internship Program. We are looking for top talent with a passion to drive the business and a curiosity to learn. This program is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the buying office and experience the entire product lifecycle, from the product concept to the customer.

- The Omni-Channel Buying Interns support the work of the Buying Offices. QVC welcomes creative and analytical minds to immerse themselves within teams across our portfolio of brands. Interns receive a paid, hands-on learning experience that revolves around buying through a love of storytelling. Our immersive program offers interns engaging events, small group exposure to leadership, insight into company initiatives, and even a chance for a full-time job opportunity. As an intern, you will have exposure to managing a category and/or brand including insights into product development and selection. As a member of the Buying team, you will work directly with vendors and internal team members to drive your business. Interns are provided with coaching and development from their leaders and mentors regularly throughout the program to support their career growth and development.
YOUR IMPACT
- Assist in identifying, developing, and negotiating products/price/terms; buy and execute new products, concepts, shows, and ideas that will deliver sales results across our multi-platforms.
- Responsible for item and purchase order creation, maintenance, and monitoring warehouse processing.
- Accountable for processing products through the quality assurance and claims process.
- Responsible for daily office functions including business reporting and analysis.
- Communicate with internal teams and our vendor community to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of product lifecycle activities and ensure the product is ready for its go-live date.
- Learn and understand the customer and the connection with her.
- Ability to work with others in a dynamic team environment, express your creative and original views and follow through with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Track and process Buyer samples received from vendors.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Currently enrolled in a college or university
Fall interns (9/9-12/13) will work 20 hours a week with one day in office. Ideally, we prefer their work schedule to be M: 9-5, W: 9-5, F 9-1. This makes it easier to schedule training sessions and developmental opportunities and for everyone to be included.
- Completed at least 4 semesters
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
