STV’s Houston, TX location is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer for our Water Practice Group. You’ll provide the ability to contribute immediately to Water and Wastewater (W/WW) project development and execution of varying sizes as part of a growing office.

As a Project Engineer, you’ll actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. In this position you will perform design engineering tasks to support the Project Team in the execution and delivery of water and wastewater facility and linear projects.

In this position, you’ll work under the supervision of the Houston Water Group Manager. Familiarity with and/or the ability and desire to use production tools, such as modeling software and computer equipment are a plus.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Production of contract documents including plans, specifications and opinions of probable construction costs (OPCCs).
• Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
• Perform pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumps.
• Prepare construction and design cost estimates.
• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
• Perform engineering duties in the planning and design of water and wastewater facility projects to include pump stations, lift stations, and treatment plants.
• Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects.
• Make site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installation.
• Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, En
