Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Technician to be based in Omaha, NE that is motivated, resourceful, results-oriented, and decisive. This is a part to full time office position that supports the Environmental business line, primarily working on Federal projects.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Report to and take direction from project managers, task leaders, and senior technical staff.
- Coordinate with task and project managers, and with on-site subcontractors and field staff, to support sampling, data collection, and field documentation.
- Work independently and within teams.
- Tabulate scientific data.
- Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
- Review analytical data for general indicators of quality for routine analyses based on well-defined guidelines.
- Prepare basic data, scientific documents, technical work plans and reports.
- Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide technical expertise support.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- HS diploma + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
- Must possess a valid driver's license

- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills; flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse project tasks; eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges.
- Able to work well in a project team and a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail on assignments.
- Excellent attention to health and safety.
- Experience working on and leading environmental remediation documents.
- Experience working with and maintaining groundwater and soil vapor extraction remediation systems.
- Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner.
- Ability to learn through on-the-job experience
