Your role at Vantive

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Fleet Routing Manager to optimize the routing and scheduling of our Vantive’s fleet of vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of 16 routing specialists and 3 analysts. Managers will also be influential in developing and implementing efficient routing strategies to optimize equipment utilization, effectively manage costs, and improve home patient experience.

Your team

Route Optimization

  • Analyze and optimize fleet KPIs including but not limited to routes to maximize service specialist (Drover) hours of service, optimize mileage, and improve delivery times.
  • Collaborate with drivers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders to ensure that routes are feasible and meet customer requirements.

Route Planning and Scheduling

  • Monitor team’s routes daily, weekly, and monthly delivery schedules.
  • Develop and implement procedures to handle last-minute changes and exceptions.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze fleet performance data, including but not limited to cases on fleet, route stops, daily vs overnight runs.
  • Develop and maintain reports to track fleet performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management and other stakeholders to improve fleet operations.

Fleet Management Software

  • Manage fleet management software including route optimization tools and supplemental systems.
  • Ensure that the software is up-to-date and functions properly.
  • Provide training and support to drivers and dispatchers on software usage.

Customer Service

  • Collaborate with customers to understand their delivery requirements and preferences.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure that customer and home patient needs are met and exceeded.
  • Respond to customer care inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in fleet routing or another transportation field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software.
  • Experience with fleet routing software, such as Solera (Roadnet).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Hours of Service and DOT Regulations.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel or Tableau.
  • Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment with frequent interaction with dispatchers, customer service, Supply Chain leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work onsite at Vantive’s Deerfield Headquarters 2-3 days a week.
