Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Sr Electronics Test Engineer to lead vendor testing and automated test fixture development.This role reports into our System Electronics Development team. As part of our System team, you will contribute to/work on/be involved in ICT, FCT, and EOL testing in collaboration/partnership with the supply chain and quality teams. What you'll do:
Provide Design for Test feedback to the engineering team, working closely with them throughout the development process.
Design and document robust electrical and functional test processes capable of a high level of safety and uptime
Manage vendor ICT and FCT test fixture development and deployment.
Define acceptance criteria for test stands and carry out FAT/SAT of test equipment.
Troubleshoot electronics End-of-line testers.
Create and own electronics test specifications and test strategy.
Work with Quality and MFG to execute on the test strategy.
Execute on DVP&R test items and manufacturing End-of-line tests.
Build automated test fixture prototypes for prototype PCBA and electronics testing.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of manufacturing test experience, ideally in an electro-mechanical or battery assembly environment
Expertise in electrical/electronics tests
Competence and familiarity with an array of sensors and transducers including hall effect, temperature, position, pressure, and force
Experience working with design engineers and providing DFT feedback
Readiness to perform hands-on build and test of workstations and equipment
Expertise with the software programming languages inherent to testing including Python, NI Labview, or PLC’s
Competence in power electronics used for isolation, hi-pot, ground bond, continuity, and burn-in testing
Comfortable uploading equipment firmware updates and upgrades
Experience in purchasing and setting up automated manufacturing test equipment
Readiness to perform hands-on build and test of workstations and equipment
