About the role

The Jr. Billing Analyst will assist with customer billing activities related to invoice submissions and collections.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with processing and submitting monthly invoices for Cost Plus (CP), Time & Material (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts for government, commercial and intercompany customers.
  • Ensure invoices are presented and submitted per contractual requirements.
  • Analyze revenue and direct expenses to ensure transactions are recorded appropriately to the GL.
  • Coordinate with project managers on invoice approvals and tracking remaining funding.
  • Collect on past due invoices.
  • Track payment cycle for cash flow reporting and operations meetings.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of customer payment discrepancies.
  • Develop rapport with internal and external customers.
  • Assist project control with project setup for billing.
  • Assist compliance department with contract de-obligations and closeouts.
  • Assist in yearly financial audits.
  • Assume and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Security Clearance- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work individually and with other team members.
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related discipline preferred

Experience

  • 0-2 years of accounting/finance experience.
  • Experience with billing and support of all related billing functions preferred.
  • Government Contracting or defense industry experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with DFARS a plus.
  • Unanet, Infor or other ERP systems experience is a plus.

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only. 

Salary Range$61,600$79,500 USD
