About the Role

Summary of Responsibilities

To provide maintenance support to all other departments to ensure product quality, customer schedules and projects are completed timely while ensuring the safety of the Maintenance team, and those members that interact with the Maintenance team, in the production environment. Overall management of the Maintenance Department.

Your Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible and accountable for all three shifts of maintenance activities

Manage all facility activities and personnel reporting to this position

Maintain effective communication and coordination with all internal customers, plant management and team members; maintain positive team member relations; listen to issues and concerns and respond (C48) within 48 hours

Ensure that all training, licenses, reports and documentation that is required for LOTO, Fall, Crane, Boom, 5s, Fire Exit, Waste, PPW, Confined spaces, Forklift, Incident Reports and Blood Borne are being completed and maintained

Oversee and direct Maintenance team members on all three shifts in safe, quality-minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to attain production priorities as scheduled

Support new program launches

Conduct performance evaluations of Maintenance staff as specified by company goals

Sign all departmental purchase orders to insure items are needed and best quality for least cost

Interface with maintenance vendors and material suppliers to insure purchase of proper materials

Utilize lessons-learned philosophy in continuous improvement activities

Complete preventive maintenance program on time

Create and maintain a predictive maintenance program and maintain preventative maintenance and work orders as needed.

Perform downtime analysis on all major breakdowns

Complete correspondence, forms and reports in Microsoft Office and other required programs

Handle confidential information on a regular basis

Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policie

Perform other duties as assigned

Your preferred qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred

Must have excellent human management skills, be decisive and always setting a good example

Must have a positive attitude

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent equipment diagnostic skills

Journeyman status preferred

Knowledge of departmental processes and procedures to include:

Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Mechanical power transmission

Combustion gas train

HVAC, Electrical systems and electronics

Gas, MIG and TIG welding

Robotics

Schematics and blueprint reading

OSHA regulations and National Electrical Code
