Vice President, BGM Fixed Income Platforms & Markets Strategy 

BlackRock Global Markets (BGM) brings together BlackRock’s global trading, financing and financial resource management, securities lending, ETF markets, cash management, and index investments businesses to deliver investment, trading, financing, and risk management excellence for clients. 

As part of the BGM Platforms & Markets Strategy team, the candidate will be responsible for helping to deliver critical cross-platform bodies of work intended to help scale the liquidity platform and transform how BlackRock engages with liquidity in the future.  They will collaborate closely internally with teams across the BlackRock Global Markets business, with key technology partners within BlackRock, and externally with some of our most critical counterparties.  An ideal candidate is a connector, is interested in engaging with people across the end-to-end value chain and can help execute on the holistic strategy to transform BlackRock’s role in integrating liquidity across the trading ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to support and execute on specific initiatives and projects critical to the Fixed Income strategic platform and markets strategy agenda
  • Communicate strategic priorities and execution plans across the firm via presentations, meetings, written communications, etc.
  • Assist in the crafting of the narrative and senior stakeholder material for the overall body of work and to enable further strategic dialogue.
  • Responsibilities include project planning, establishing governance, cross-functional coordination & communication on progress back to stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Support ongoing relationship management efforts with external market counterparties as well as other market participants and serve as the key point of contact for driving progress on joint priorities and opportunities
  • Play a consultative role, providing an overall business and commercial lens into our platform efforts, and representing external and ETF related counterparties viewpoints in conversations

  • Expertise in Fixed Income markets and the broader trading ecosystem

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience, most likely in asset management, strategy, markets structure
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to completion large-scale initiatives that transform how markets operate
  • Previous experience across FI portfolio management, trading and/or strategy
  • Background in relationship management and working closely with internal and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinking aptitude
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas, both written and oral, to internal and external audiences across levels of seniority
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and build strong relationships with team members, managers, and senior executives in multiple locations
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to synthesize key findings and produce presentations for senior audiences.
  • Effective prioritization of multiple tasks and willingness to take on additional responsibility.  

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$137,500.00 - USD$194,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
