Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular Operating Room

The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Inova Fairfax is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse to Scrub and Circulate in various specialties. This is a night shift opening. Sign-on bonuses available from $15K-$20K for qualified RNs and Relocation bonuses also available!

The CVOR is located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus within the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute (IHVI) for adult cardiac surgery and Inova Women’s and Children’s Hospital for pediatric/congenital cardiac surgery. The CVORs are state of the art with Stryker integrated video and a Philips (Single Plane) Hybrid OR with a total of 7 operating rooms serving all cardiac surgery needs including thoracic organ transplant (heart and lung), mechanical circulatory support, structural heart, congenital, and advanced aortic surgery.

Shift: Nights

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years CVOR Registered Nurse experience is required. May consider OR RNs seeking to specialize in CVOR.
  • Preferred: Previous experience both scrub and circulating in a cardiac surgery service line setting performing complex procedures i.e. transplant, aortic dissections, structural heart.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
• RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• EKG proficiency.
• Must be available to take call and rotate weekends, holidays and off-shifts.
• CNOR certification highly desired.
• Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
