Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer – IoT Services

Essity is delivering highly innovative Internet of Things software solutions to our customers and is now looking for a candidate, who wants to join our team to improve our deliveries through Application and IoT Platform development.

Main tasks 

• Develop modern cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure 

• Take active part in product development and shaping requirements 

• Set the technical direction for the development of the solution 

• Ensure high standards for the full life-cycle development process - from product definition and strategy through design, development, non-functional requirements, quality assurance and release 

• Ensure that solutions meet requirements 

• Cooperate with stakeholders, both internal and external 

• Lead developers within in the team providing mentorship and coaching to teams of developers and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence 

• Ensure that the solutions are properly tested (e.g. unit, integration, load) 

• Continuously maintain the solutions to keep them performant 

• Stay updated with latest technologies and industry trends 

Key Competencies 

• Relevant university degree in computer science or equivalent 

• Strong experience from development, specializing in building scalable solutions using modern frameworks, minimum 5-7 years 

• Track record of leading expert teams of developers 

• Experience from working with DevOps (CI/CD) 

• Experience from driving software architecture and design, including using established design-patterns to solve known problems 

• Experience from development of web applications (e.g. React) is a plus 

• Experience from driving database design 

• Strong experience from development on .NET stack and Microsoft Azure 

• Preferable experience from working with SaaS or IoT 

• Modern practices such as DevSecOps is a plus 

• Fluent English is required in this position
