The position of Warehouse Supervisor is critical to the management of the inbound and outbound flow of products; including inventory control, materials management, quality control, and defective product management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Precisely reconcile receiving report and invoice discrepancies and notify all parties involved including vendors, purchasing staff, and Area Project Managers
- Consistently coordinate services from outside providers including waste removal, material handling equipment repairs, and other facility maintenance or repairs as needed
- Methodically verify and cross-check product received to receiving documentation
- Systematically monitor the work schedule and communicate trim requirements to vendors and ensure accuracy of the purchase orders and job sheets to that of received trims
- Cooperatively assist with daily tool check outs and provide any other hands-on assistance that might be needed to the Fleet Manager or others due to unexpected issues
- Dependably manage deliveries for the service team
- Conscientiously provide leadership, supervision, training, and development opportunities to warehouse employees including facilitating annual performance discussions Thoroughly create and monitor staff schedules and hours worked to ensure appropriate staffing needs for all warehouse logistics
- Accurately oversee physical inventory of warehouse including making weekly cycle counts and monthly inventory audits, determining when to order products and in what quantities, and serving as the point of contact for vendors making deliveries
- Consistently order stock materials including piping
- Diligently follow up with vendors to process any defective or damaged products discovered
- Precisely work with quality control teams to ensure costs are assigned to proper cost codes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication with others is mainly focused on work knowledge and duties
- Performs all duties with precision and skilled expertise to ensure high quality
- Proactively completes all tasks successively and correctly following known processes
- Patiently takes the time to do work steadily and with accuracy
- Skillfully works within well-defined parameters with repeatable, successful results
- Clear, effective communications skills – both written and verbal
- Customer service focus in leading others
- Aptitude for prioritizing and problem-solving
- Preference for accuracy, attention to detail, and organization
- Mastery of entire Microsoft Suite plus Internet and email
- Working knowledge of budgets
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- 3 to 5 years of warehouse experience
- Construction experience is a plus
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is a significant plus
- Ability to receive or already has fork lift, lull, and/or order picker certifications as well as CPR, first aid, and AED certifications
