Job Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise in the identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety, and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability.  Monitor, trend, and assess systems and components to improve reliability.  Establish system performance for designated electrical systems, identify and prioritize correction actions to ensure system safety, reliability, and availability.  Develop and scope long term asset management strategies and life cycle management.  Lead cross-functional teams to resolve system performance issues. Ensure compliance with design/license basis.

Job Specific Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1.) BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred)         
2.) Minimum of 7 years of experience in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering and /or equivalent experience performing work in system, design, strategic planning, or component
engineering.      
3.) Ability to support shift work during refueling outage, forced outages, and access industrial areas of nuclear power plant.   
4.) Ability to gain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.

DESIRED SKILLS : 

1) Degree or experience in an electrical / controls / digital engineering or technology discipline
2) 10+ years of Nuclear Power Plant experience working in electrical design, emergent response/engineering Fix-it-Now Teams, or plant engineering.
3) Understanding of NERC/FERC requirements, Generator Systems, Transformers, Maintenance Rule, PWR Electrical System Design, and the Taproot failure analysis process.
4) Experience with large power generators 
5) SRO license or certification preferred. MS or PE.
