Description
The Division of Hematology and Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks a PhD scientist for breast cancer. This individual will be academically oriented and appointed to the full-time faculty as a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at Vanderbilt University.
The successful candidate(s) will have experience developing and implementing breast cancer research projects, as well as interest in and/or experience in designing research methodologies, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
With their PI's mentorship, this position will prepare compelling grant applications to secure funding from external agencies and foundations and manuscripts for submission to relevant journals. A key aspect of this role is actively seeking and securing external funding to support research endeavors.
The selected individual(s) will collaborate with other researchers within the department and across disciplines and may supervise graduate students and research assistants on research projects.

Qualifications
A recent Ph.D. in the relevant field of study is required.
