Senior Associate Payroll

<p>Job Description</p><p></p><p>An amazing opportunity has arisen for a <b>Payroll Specialist</b>.</p><p></p><p>Our company operates multiple payroll groupings covering the various manufacturing, support and sales personnel split by weekly and monthly pay frequencies. The inputs to payroll come from locally managed T&amp;A systems as well as a global ERP HR system. Our payroll department links in with HR in relation to the All-Ireland comp &amp; Benefit programs which are also supported by several service providers.</p><p></p><p>The role reports to the Payroll Manager for Ireland, with responsibilities covering all locations, this role offers location flexibility (remote work available).</p><p></p><p><b>What you will do: </b></p><p>Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:</p><p></p><p>• Supervise, motivate, and guide a team in delivering payroll work within a large monthly manufacturing site, while ensuring consistent processes across the market</p><p>• Lead on annual activities/projects as assigned including the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and improvements.</p><p>• Lead on payroll activities, including day-to-day operational items.</p><p>• Embrace and drive the digital transformation underway in our business.</p><p>• Ensuring Payroll Compliance</p><p>• Review the work of other members of the payroll team before signing off.</p><p>• Sound working knowledge of managing a high-volume payroll.</p><p>• Act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries.</p><p>• Stay up to date with legislative changes within Ireland Payroll, ensuring adherence to all legal requirements.</p><p></p><p><b>What skills you will need:</b></p><p>In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:</p><p></p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business or Accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification; in lieu of a degree</p><p>• Experienced Payroll Specialist with over 5 years in Irish Payroll.</p><p>• Proven track record as an efficient and comprehensive Team Leader is an advantage.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</p><p>• Experience in using payroll systems (CoreHR/People XD portal an advantage)</p><p>• Enthusiastic and confident with a willingness to work within a team environment.</p><p>• Possess the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.</p><p>• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office.</p><p>• A flexible approach to work, ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute within deadlines.</p><p>• A good understanding of Payroll Processes, tax and legal framework and IT systems.</p><p>• Customer Focus ensuring that employees payroll experience remains positive.</p><p>• Self-starter with proven track record of working on own initiative as well as working with external providers and across organisational boundaries.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant legislation.</p><p>• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.</p><p>• Strong organisational and communication skills.</p><p></p><p>As a company, we are committed to ‘Inventing for Life’ in all that we do.
