Development Engineer Vehicle Simulation Software f/m/d (maternity leave replacement)

 

Join our dynamic Scrum Team as Development Engineer Software and play a key role in delivering standard software products for vehicle, powertrain, and driveline simulation tools on AVL’s real-time simulation platform and automation solutions. You will thrive in this role if you have a passion for working in a multidisciplinary team and a structured approach to work combined with analytical thinking.

  

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Work in the software development team for AVL’s Real-Time Vehicle Simulation Software Virtual Studio
• Develop vehicle simulation models for diverse testing environments, including conventional and electrification testbeds, HiL, SiL for system and sub-system testing of various vehicle types (battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles, etc.)
• Design and implement suitable software architectures for efficient real-time vehicle simulation solutions
• Develop innovative simulation solutions, involving Machine Learning models and automated parameter identification

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

• Completed education (University or University of Applied Sciences, University of Technology, or comparable) with focus on Control Engineering, Software engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
• Deep knowledge in the programming language MATLAB/Simulink and good knowledge of Python, C or C ++
• At least 3 years technical experience in the field of automotive engineering and/or simulation
• Basic automotive and powertrain engineering knowledge
• Business fluent knowledge in English

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €52,300.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
