Our Marketing team is committed to building the Karat brand and long-term value of the business in order to help achieve revenue and margin targets.

 

What you will do

The Director, Demand Generation leads the function. As you would expect for a fast-growing company, this is a critical role with responsibility for fueling further growth. It requires close partnership with Product Marketing, Sales, Revenue Enablement, and more—a highly influential hub. There is freedom to define the marketing tech stack and most effective demand gen channels, and to focus Karat on high efficiency, high impact marketing programs.

  • Build out the digital demand generation function and team to support Karat’s growth and to amplify awareness of our company and impact
  • Work as a player coach, helping our  team plan, execute, and deliver campaigns on schedule. 
  • Prioritize and manage all digital demand generation channels, and own the selection and integration of our mar-tech stack
  • Feed a fast-growing sales team with an incremental, high-converting pipeline. Partner with sales leaders to agree on demand generation strategies and tactics
  • Accelerate Karat’s embrace of digital marketing practices, including paid search, paid social, content syndication, webinars, etc.
  • Obsess about marketing influence on pipeline and conversion rates and align with sales operations in how this is captured and reported across the company.
  • Work with product marketing to ensure Karat’s value proposition is effectively captured in all outbound activities
  • Engage internal and external resources to fill key content gaps and ensure you have the materials needed across channels and for lead nurture efforts
  • Take ownership of the website and ensure it serves as an engine for inbound demand
  • Report out to executive leadership on performance of Demand Generation activities and make recommendations for ongoing activities.

  • Analytical firepower and the desire to dig into data, identify opportunities for more efficiency and then iterate
  • Gravitational force to attract top talent and build / rally your team around a finite set of priorities and activities
  • Clear communication to establish plans and rally internal teams and agencies to deliver content and programs on time and budget
  • Desire to experiment with new types of activities, content or technologies that can deliver differentiated results or help Forter’s signal cut through market noise
  • Growth mindset and an expectation that the role will evolve as we grow

 

This is a salaried, full-time position. Immigration sponsorship is not available.

Karat’s HQ is based in Seattle, Washington, but our core team is distributed throughout the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. For this position, we are considering candidates who are located within the greater United States and have posted this job description broadly with that in mind.
