Position Summary
R&D NVH Engineer – ITT Corporation – Motion Technologies – North America Division - Novi, MI
As a leader in the industry, ITT takes pride in its capability to address and solve NVH problems, enabling its NVH engineers to employ the most advanced technologies and to utilize internal and external testing resources (dyno and vehicles).
In collaboration with the NVH team at ITT Motion Technologies Italian HQ and the Product Development team, the NVH Engineer would manage the NVH development on active customer programs as well as on internal research activities to improve ITT exposure and success in the NA market.
Essential Responsibilities

- Provide brake NVH solutions, by every mean is part of brake pad product.
- Plan, coordinate, review and analyze data provided from lab testing such as NVH dynamometer results and raw data, modal testing, pressure mapping, etc., as well as from vehicle testing.
- Integrate all NVH related data into test matrices, DOEs and test data bases.
- Support advancing brake NVH test techniques, both in lab and on real vehicle.
- Provide a premium experience to customers (internal and external) who deal with ITT, with an effective and timely submission of results, and a proactive - in person, when necessary and possible - interaction with the relevant stakeholders, to detect in advance any need or criticality and provide technical proposals for the solution of NVH issues.
- Properly interact with Product Development and Base Research teams, to improve the understanding of ITT product as well as its NVH robustness.
- Anticipate future market requirements in terms of NVH, based on new Automotive macro-trends (electrification, autonomous driving), to ensure ITT products will be adequate to all new requirements.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures in the performance of this position’s duties and reports any unsafe practice to the supervisor.

Position Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical field with minimum of 3 years of job relate brake NVH experience; OR Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical field with documented academic NVH research and/or projects.
- Problem solving and analysis skills that include the collection, evaluation and reporting of data and information related to system problems and observations.
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively prepare and present information to customers, or senior management.
- Solid interpersonal skills, with communication abilities that include attentive listening, capacity to react and respond to opinions constructively and effectively present ideas to an audience.
- Structured and organized mindset, with the ability to manage long-term projects.
- Strong team working skills, and a collaborative attitude.
- Capabilities to use Office and Windows most common softwares
- Experience with following softwares/languages is a plus:
