Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as an Inventory and Order Fulfillment Associate at our auto parts store. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly, and that incoming products are stocked efficiently. The role requires a fast-paced mindset, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to stay organized while on your feet throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment:
- Accurately locate, pull, and prepare auto parts to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
- Double-check pulled items against order slips to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with packaging and staging orders for pickup or delivery.
- Stock Management:
- Unload, inspect, and sort incoming shipments of auto parts and supplies.
- Stock shelves and bins with incoming products while maintaining proper organization and labeling.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- General Warehouse Duties:
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy.
- Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
- Customer Support (as needed):
- Assist customers in locating parts on the sales floor when required.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constant movement.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order pulling and inventory tasks.
- Ability to lift and move items up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] frequently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with auto parts and supplies is a plus but not required.
- Basic computer skills to work with inventory systems and order tracking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
- Walking and standing for extended periods.
- Reaching, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Working in various temperature conditions (warehouse and storage areas).
