Join our state-of-the-art Enzyme Biology team as an <b>Enzymology Senior Scientist</b>, and you’ll contribute to developing new innovative and eco-designed synthetic processes for Sanofi components and products, while enjoying numerous opportunities to broaden your experience and hone your skills.</span></span></p><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><span><b><span>Main responsibilities:</span></b></span><br/> </p><ul><li><span>To establish the strategy for the discovery, screening and optimization of enzymes for each project, within timelines and budget</span></li><li><span>To take part of the global development of the strains considering the requirements of the analytical lab, the HT screening, the purification, after discussion with the concerned lab</span></li><li><span>To plan, coordinate, and/or execute the lab experiments, including the use of robotics tools</span></li><li><span>To develop the new molecular biology and biochemistry methods</span></li><li><span>To realize bibliographic and technologic watch related to the topics ongoing in order to identify new technologies and techniques of interest for delivering best in class results</span></li><li><span>To analyze, interpret and present the progress and the results in a multidisciplinary and international environment</span></li><li><span>To write the electronic lab book and document protocols required for the activity, as well as descriptions of analytical methods and chemical protocols in English</span></li><li><span>To manage scientifically collaborators according to projects requirements, and to take part to the lab organization (maintenance, lab supply, HSE)</span></li></ul><p><span> </span></p><h1><span><span>About you</span></span></h1><p></p><p><span><b><span>Experience</span></b><b><span>:</span></b></span><br/> </p><ul><li><span>Molecular biology, microbiology and biochemistry knowledge are required</span></li><li><span>Experience in protein expression and in the use of enzyme in biocatalysis to produce API intermediates</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of microbiology and bacterial fermentation</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of </span><span>in silico</span><span> methods for enzyme optimization</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of Machine Learning/Artificial intelligent algorithms is a plus</span></li></ul><p><span> </span></p><p><span><b><span>Soft and technical skills</span></b><b><span>:</span></b></span><br/> </p><ul><li><span>Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.</span> <span>Provide clear and structured explanations of its studies to other local functions and to other cross site functional groups</span></li><li><span>Rigorous and organized, show initiative, proactivity and curiosity, manage priorities</span></li><li><span><span>Molecular biology technics required for the development of enzyme optimization</span></span></li><li><span>Interest in artificial intelligence and in silico modelling would be a plus</span></li><li><span>Ability to build and conduct research scientific program related to project of interest and to guide others in these areas</span></li><li><span>Ability to manage the technical monitoring of CRO/CDMO subcontracting (technical discussion for the outsourcing of enzyme optimization)</span></li></ul><p><span> </span></p><p><span><b><span>Education</span></b><b><span>:</span></b></span><br/> </p><ul><li><span>PhD in biocatalysis, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology or any related topics or Master degree with proven experience in any of cited topics</span></li></ul><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><span><b><span>Languages</span></b><b><span>:</span></b></span><br/> </p><ul><li><span><span>French</span></span></li><li><span>English</span></li></ul><p><span><span> </span></span></p><h1><span><span>Why choose us?</span></span></h1><p></p><ul><li><span><span>Bring the miracle
