About the Opportunity
OHCA is seeking three experienced attorneys to join our growing Legal Division. While all three roles serve as Deputy General Counsel (DGC) III positions, each vacancy requires deep subject-matter expertise in a distinct specialty area. Candidates will provide advanced legal counsel, independently manage complex assignments, and serve as trusted advisors to program staff and agency leadership.
DGC III (Attorney III) – Policy & Medicaid
Provides advanced legal counsel on Medicaid policy, administrative law, regulatory interpretation, and rulemaking. This role advises program staff and leadership on complex federal and state statutory requirements; supports waiver development and regulatory submissions; drafts rules and formal guidance; and provides legal analysis of policy-related matters affecting Medicaid programs and managed care operations.
DGC III (Attorney III) – Employment, Civil Rights, and HIPAA Compliance
Provides legal guidance on employment law, civil rights, workplace investigations, HIPAA privacy, and personnel-related compliance matters. This role advises Human Resources and leadership on employee relations issues, prepares legal documents related to discipline and investigations, responds to civil rights and privacy complaints, represents the agency in administrative proceedings, and supports compliance and training efforts.
