Location: New York

Capgemini is seeking an Associate Managing Director (AMD) to join our Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Advisory Solutions team in New York. The AMD will lead complex client engagements, drive business growth, and provide expert guidance across financial crime compliance, risk, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across banking, capital markets, fintech, and payments.
  • Leverage professional network to generate leads and build client relationships.
  • Support marketing efforts including thought leadership, conference participation, and client presentations.

Product & Regulatory Expertise

  • Contribute to the development of tech‑enabled FCC products and service offerings.
  • Stay current on regulatory developments and industry trends.
  • Maintain strong industry networks to enhance market insight.

Client Delivery

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams on FCC engagements including AML, Sanctions, Fraud, and KYC/CDD.
  • Assess client governance, risk, and compliance frameworks; identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
  • Provide practical regulatory guidance to help clients adapt to evolving requirements.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong background in financial crime compliance, including sanction screening, transaction monitoring, fraud risk management, and KYC/CDD/EDD.
  • Experience identifying financial crime risks in products, processes, systems, and payment flows (e.g., correspondent banking, trade finance, SWIFT).
  • Strong analytical ability; resilient and adaptable in complex project environments.

Experience

  • 15+ years in financial crime compliance, risk, or governance roles.
  • 8+ years in management, supervising teams, and developing talent.
  • Prior experience in a regulator, financial institution, or consulting environment.
  • Exposure to business development or direct client relationship management.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $180,000 - $200,000/Annum

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
