Senior Supply Chain Raw Material Planner | Hybrid| Celanese Budapest

As a Senior Supply Chain Raw Material Planner at Celanese, you'll lead tactical and strategic supply/demand/inventory optimization for our Engineered Materials (EM) business. You'll drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance supply chain efficiency, solve complex problems, and implement strategic solutions. This senior role offers significant influence on commercial operations within our EM business line.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead optimization of daily and long-term supply/demand balance for EM products through strategic collaboration with Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, and Finance teams
• Develop sophisticated production and inventory plans aligned with strategic business imperatives
• Drive improvements in Constrained Consensus and Demand Forecast processes
• Optimize planning parameters in SAP to enhance supply chain performance
• Develop and implement strategic recommendations balancing cost, service levels, and business imperatives
• Partner with Network Optimization teams to establish and refine inventory targets
• Lead raw material forecasting processes and provide strategic inventory projections
• Mentor junior planners and serve as subject matter expert for SAP Material Master Data (MRP1-4)
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the planning function

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 5-7 years' experience in raw material planning, production scheduling, or procurement operations
• 3+ years of Finite Scheduling experience across raw material planning, purchasing, and logistics
• Advanced analytical skills with expertise in SAP, GIB tools, and Excel modeling
• Excellent communication skills in English (German proficiency advantageous)
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and translate complex technical information
• Experience with MRP scheduling and inventory optimization
• Strategic thinker who anticipates market changes and develops proactive solutions
• Change agent who drives continuous improvement and challenges conventional approaches
