About the role
- Assist in the coordination of health services.
- Assess and provide medical treatment for team members, contractors, and visitors for injury or illness sustained at work in accordance with established medical protocols.
- Maintain workers compensation information for claims, and schedule doctor visits and transportation.
- Coordinate physicals and drug testing.
- Assist with employee health and wellness events (i.e. health assessments, immunizations, medical care, education, etc.).
- Maintain positive relationship with local occupational health clinic.
- Assist with incident data management and tracking.
- Assist with return-to-work process, working closely with supervisors to find meaningful work with prescribed medical restrictions.
- Assist with hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection and ergonomics programs including development and delivery of employee training.
- Lead ergonomic efforts minimizing related occupational injuries.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of occupational health experience required, preferably within a similar manufactuirng environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee health information while communicating necessary information.
- General knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and FMLA regulations.
- Self starter with ability to work with limited supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
