The Pharmacy Technician (Certified Technician) provides support to the pharmacist in reviewing, compounding, and dispensing medications. All work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician reports to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED
- Active status certification from PTCB (CPhT) or NHA (ExCPT)
- Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire
- Nationally certified by a certification board recognized by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
Experience:
- One year of inpatient or two years of outpatient experience or completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program.
