Humana, a $100 billion (Fortune 50) leader in integrated healthcare, is currently seeking an accomplished executive for the role of West Region President in the Home Health business of its CenterWell subsidiary. As one of the nation’s largest home health providers, CenterWell Home Health (CWHH) combines the stability and opportunities of a large national company with the ability to make a positive, local impact. We provide care for patients in their homes who are managing a chronic condition or recovering from injury, illness, surgery or hospitalization.The West Region President has end-to-end leadership responsibility for a 2,600-person organization that currently consists of 100+ home health offices located in 12 states, stretching from Arkansas and Louisiana to the Pacific Northwest. This leader will develop and implement the overall regional operational strategy required to fulfill the region objectives, particularly in assuring sales and earnings growth, operational success, and ongoing performance improvement. He/she will work closely with various cross-functional areas at both the Regional and Corporate level to ensure achievement of overall Company objectives.
The Region President will report to the President of our Home Solutions business segment and will oversee a team that includes sales, finance operations and analytics, and clinical operations. It is preferred that this person be located in one of the states within the West Region. At least 30% travel should be expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Career development and operational success of Branch, Area, and Regional teams.
- Execution of the regional strategy, supporting growth, managing profitable business mix, improving operational efficiencies, monitoring clinical and operational metrics and achieving financial results.
- Support sales initiatives and centrally coordinated sales projects. Initiate sales calls in developing new markets. Drive sales results and revenue growth.
- Monitor operation results versus objectives. Devise and implement adjustments to plans and programs. Analyze field reaction to the marketplace, pertaining to the management direction they have received. Secure input from line management staff
- Determine regional operational requirements and work within established Company guidelines in order to achieve regional operational goals in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work closely with Operations, Clinical, Sales, Finance, and Human Resources to maximize strategic initiatives at the field operating level.
- Develop and manage regional budget. Monitor and manage expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgetary constraints.
- Perform all HR-related duties inherent in a managerial role.

Key Candidate Qualifications
In general terms the ideal candidate will have extensive operations management experience (typically 10+ years), preferably in a multi-site home health environment. This person will have demonstrable expertise in developing large-scale business strategy, along with a strong history of growth performance and budget achievements. ��He/she will have strong financial skills and proven ability to create practical solutions to address business challenges. Finally, this person will be a strong leader of people with proven success in expanding and elevating the capabilities and performance of a multi-level team.
In addition to the above, the following professional qualifications and personal attributes are also sought:
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences, both internally and externally.
- Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome
- Current or recent leadership experience in a highly matrixed company, with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in and deliver against P&L targets such an environment
- Knowledge of Home Care Home Base preferred
- Bachelor's degree healthcare administration, business or related field required; Master's degree preferred
