About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides companies of all sizes with an infrastructure web services platform in the cloud (“cloud computing”). With AWS you can requisition compute power, storage, and many other services, gaining access to a suite of elastic IT infrastructure services as your business demands them. AWS is the leading platform for designing and developing applications for the cloud and is growing rapidly with hundreds of thousands of companies in over 190 countries on the platform.
This key role will be highly visible at the senior levels of Amazon. You will need to work collaboratively with internal management teams to understand where relative advantages or risks lie, if/when major features are in existing roadmaps, and current trends around innovation, consolidation and customer adoption. We dive deep and provide thoughtful technical analysis, but are adaptable and action-oriented, focused on quickly gaining enough context to enable informed decision-making.
This individual will work with Finance and Business Intelligence to own conception of strategic initiatives (e.g. Strategic Service Landings, Solution Development, Strategic Customer Partnerships, and more). They will do this by supporting highly accurate and detailed perspectives and data that articulate product-specific issues and opportunities, overseeing implementation of the strategy, and building a task force aligned across all necessary teams and stakeholders with a common objective. This individual will implement processes to monitor, adjust, and iterate as needed.
By engaging a diverse and challenging set of customers that range from traditional enterprises to some of the world's largest tech companies, you will develop new revenue streams with our GTM and Product applications teams to address sizeable growth opportunities.
You will use best practices for both business development and program management and will deploy highly strategic and visible initiatives in fast-paced, technical organizations.
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 16 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.
Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren’t focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.
